Daniel Stewart, LCSW-C
Daniel specializes in working with teenagers and adults. He helps clients by providing tools and support for challenges such as ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation, depression, and anxiety.
Daniel’s therapeutic approach is grounded in CBT and DBT. He also draws from several different modalities in his approach to therapy, including Motivational Interviewing, ACT, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Systems, and Existential modalities.
Daniel’s approach is skills-based, giving clients the ability to implement their desired changes outside of therapy. Daniel recognizes the individuality of every client and based on their needs and preferences collaboratively determines what modality would best serve them. He believes that optimal results from therapy are reached through ensuring a strong client-therapist relationship.
Daniel received his MSW, with a specialization in mental health, from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2019. Before joining the team at Solomon Counseling, Daniel worked in an outpatient setting helping clients that struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma, and extreme emotional challenges. His past work as a substitute teacher also helps him understand the challenges that teens face in school.
Originally from California, Daniel now lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and children. In his spare time he enjoys sports, fanfiction, and the outdoors.
